Study Tashkent Medical Academy in Uzbekistan

Tashkent Medical Academy was established in 2005 on the basis of the former 1st and 2nd Tashkent State Medical Institutions. It is Uzbekistan's leading higher education institution for medical education. It is responsible not only for providing research and training to medical personnel but also for the coordination and guidance of medical education in the country and for the promotion of public health and preventive medicine. It has 803 teachers, including 2 academics and 97 professors. The academy has faculties of general medicine, medical teaching, medical immunization, and nursing, with a total of 4,662 students, including 735 postgraduates. Educational Practical Skills of highly qualified specialists, OSCE (Objectively Structured Medical Examination) Center, 2 Training Labs, Public Health School, Information-Resource Center, Demonstration-Training Stomatology Campus, and 2 Demonstrations. The main research unit of the academy is the Central Research Laboratory (CRL). There are currently 25 projects, 18 of which are in use, 3 - basic, 2 - innovative, 2 for young people. 160 employees are involved in the implementation of grants. Tashkent Medical Academy cooperates in the development of international relations on education, research issues, and the strengthening of partnerships between leading higher education facilities in the four countries. It has a close relationship with the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M.Setchenov.
